Dear Young Adults,                                                 YA Department

I'm sure you've noticed a lot of changes in the YA Department over the past 9 months. The collection  has been updated and has even grown out of the room. The interactive white board has been an entertaining addition to the department. This fall   there are more changes being made:

  • The YA desktops are no more! From now on if  you'd like to navigate the interwebs or browse some research data bases, you can use a library laptop anywhere in the library. Need to print? No worries, our laptops have access to wireless printing!
  • Attend library programs on your own schedule! Have you wanted to attend a craft program but couldn't make it because you were busy? Most YA programs are now "drop-in." Program materials will be available anytime you are in the library, for the entire week. Whether you come in on a weekday evening or a weekend morning, don't miss out on the chance to make a great project.
  • JOSH! THis is the name of the new librarian you might see sitting at the reference desk.
  • Teen Advisory Board! Looking to make a difference in the YA Department? Then join TAB. You'll have access to the TAB wesbite where you can post your ideas for programs, books for the collection and much more. Come see me about joining or email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

I'm looking forward to a fantastic fall season with you all!
