Wonderful Hispanic Heritage Festival

We had a wonderful time at our first Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 29!

Thank you to all the local businesses who donated delicious food and drink: Java Nation Coffee Roasters, Mickey B's Deli, The Golden Pear and Gula Gula Empanandas.

Thanks also to Jaime Ruiz and his wife, Adriana, for decorations, food donations and getting us all out on the dance floor with Salsa moves.

Looking forward to the next festival!

The Grabb Sisters grab a Sony e-reader!

ebook winners

Exciting news: Two of our busiest Summer Reading Club participants, Madeline and Samantha Grabb, were the lucky winners of a Sony ereader in a random drawing sponsored by the Suffolk County Library System. The girls were entered in the drawing because they were the two reading club participants who read the most books over the summer. Congratulations, Madeline and Samantha, keep up the great work!

We have Muzzy!

The Muzzy Online Language Program for children is now available through the Hampton Library website. Simply click on the “Children’s Room” tab at the top of the Home page and scroll down to “Muzzy Online.” You’ll be prompted to enter your User Name or Barcode and Password, then you’re on your way! Also, don’t forget to explore Tumble Books, a program with e-books for kids.
