Photoshop elements is a software program that makes it easier to edit, create and share your photos. The course will cover: organizing photos and apllying tages, importing from cameras, videos and pdfs, adjusting lighting, color and exposure, cleaning your scene of unwanted elements, combining images, using blenders, filters and adjustment layers, and repairing and retouching. Registration is required; a $20 fee is due at signup. Read more Montauk Observatory Presents: Sunspot Activity & the Earth‘s Climate7:00pm Category : Adults Sunspot Activity & the Earth’s Climate Saturday, March 27th, 7:00 p.m. Join members of the Montauk Observatory for a presentation by Joe Malave, Science Coordinator for Montauk Public School. Sun spots on the sun’s surface are violent, planetary-scale magnetic storms that vary in number throughout the 11 year solar cycle. A growing body of evidence is connecting these storms on the sun to short term climate changes on Earth. In this lecture, evidence will be presented to support the connection between variations in space weather, and variations in Earth’s climate. Read more |
